Complete the easy tasks ASAP

“If an action will take less than two minutes, it should be done at the moment it’s defined.”
This is what the two-minute rule entails. This rule is meant to stop procrastination which is something that we all struggle with, especially me. It’s all about efficiency on how to do tasks throughout the day. Of all the tasks in the day, your thoughts are more focused on the bigger tasks that are going to take up most of your time of the day. But come to find out, often times it’s the small tasks that pile up on your to-do lists. Something as little as responding to an email, cleaning your desk, or even making your bed could all be completed within 2 minutes and should be done right as you come across them. More time is spent feeling guilty about not doing these simple and easy tasks rather than just doing them quickly. Getting these things done reduces stress throughout the day and makes you feel more productive in return. I struggle with following the two-minute rule since I get distracted so easily or just become lazy. But reading how this could help me has really helped my ability to complete two-minute tasks. I’ve realized that, the longer that I put something off, the harder it feels to get it done. So doing these tasks as soon as possible has helped me a ton!
